NHL General Manager of the Year Award

NHL General Manager of the Year Award

First awarded in 2010, the NHL General Manager of the Year Award is presented annually to the GM who best excelled in their role during the regular season. Private Jet Services (PJS) congratulates Doug Armstrong of the St. Louis Blues, Don Waddell of the Carolina Hurricanes and Don Sweeney of the Boston Bruins for being the 2019 finalists for this Award.

Results are the bottom line in the world of professional team sports. Every aspect of the team’s off the ice preparation influences what happens on the rink. Each of these nominees has demonstrated a culmination of an uncompromising commitment to detail, and leadership that has delivered success for their club this season. No team becomes a champion overnight. It has been an honor to be their trusted air partner and watch these managers build their teams over the course of the year.

Since 2003, PJS has been flying some of the world’s most successful professional sports franchises. Our consultative approach is required to ensure that each flight not only arrives on time–every time–but also that in-flight objectives can be met. PJS ensures that every detail of the journey works towards the same goal.

The winner of the NHL General Manager of the Year Award will be selected by a poll of NHL General Managers at the end of the regular season and will be announced at the NHL Awards in Las Vegas on June 19. 2019.
