A New Year Takes Flight

A New Year Takes Flight

Together, we welcome 2021.

The last ten months, beyond a doubt, have been a time of growth. As I look back on our period of quarantine and the obstacles that air travel navigated and now, forward to what is to come, I recognize that we also have much to celebrate. The Private Jet Services team collectively created a wealth of positive outcomes for our clients, our members, our partners, and the travel industry as a whole, amidst any challenge or demand that came our way.

2020 Celebrations

Our team is extremely proud to have helped sustain national sports and events, thanks to our growing relationships with professional sports teams and organizations. During our most recent project with Major League Soccer (MLS), PJS chartered dozens of favorite international players into Canada at a moment’s notice with flights spanning twenty-seven cities, seventeen countries, and four continents. Needless to say, the playoffs were a success and the spirit of sports thrived for millions under restrictive stay-at-home orders nationwide… and congratulations to MLS Cup winners, Columbus Crew.

Additionally, as the travel market directed movements towards leisure travel, it allowed PJS to refocus on partnerships and explore new relationships. Our hospitality partners have worked hard to provide COVID-safe extended stay and new buyout opportunities for groups large and small, including corporate incentive trips, family vacations, and weddings. Viceroy Hotels & Resorts, Cuvée, ÃNI Private Resorts, Palomino Hospitality, Belmond Hotels, and Auberge Resorts are only a few of the hospitality partners that PJS has been able to connect or reconnect with this year. Together, we will continue to provide a wealth of awe-inspiring experiences to our PJS flyers throughout 2021.

2021 Intentions

As we start this new year, we expect demand for private travel to increase as we move towards spring. With the release of the COVID-19 vaccine, the industry is already trying to navigate an influx of inquiries, particularly in the Meetings & Incentives space. The corporate world is feeling comfortable planning trips this year and competing with significant booking requests for the intimate private travel highly coveted by our members and clients. PJS has appointed the exclusive rights to thirty-six Boeing 737 aircraft in both economy and VIP configurations, and is equipped to seamlessly support any type of private travel, regardless of group size.

Due to the increase in demand for group travel, as well as within Light and Midsize aircraft categories, and to the uncertainty in travel brought on by the pandemic, we are prioritizing security and transparency for all of our clients. As part of this commitment, we added more booking and pricing flexibility to our membership terms, simplified our membership options, and expanded the number of executive aircraft and resources available to our leisure and corporate flyers.

We are also bringing incredible travel opportunities to more people than ever before with a new outlook on our longstanding reputation with safety. Safety has always been our number one priority, but that now extends beyond aircraft operations and encompasses our clients’ overall personal wellbeing.

With that, my personal intention for this hopeful year is to lead PJS in creating change and a new normal for anyone connected to the travel and hospitality industries — consumers and businesses alike. I look forward to the promise that the new year brings.
