In a recent Fox Business interview, Greg Raiff, CEO of Elevate Aviation Group, addressed the ongoing issues at Newark Liberty International Airport. He highlighted that outdated infrastructure and significant staffing shortages are primary contributors to the airport’s operational disruptions. Raiff emphasized the need for immediate action, suggesting a reduction in flight operations and an increase in recruitment efforts to alleviate the chaos.
“This is a problem that is not going to resolve itself overnight,” Raiff stated, pointing to the combination of under-invested communication systems and the relocation of air traffic controllers as key factors exacerbating the situation.
