Pricing is based on a seven-hour segment minimum and an average of four flight hours per day.
The hours spent on local legs of a trip, either flying within the U.S. or Europe, all qualify toward the pricing discount.
PJS considers pilot experience requirements to be an essential safety tool. Only the most skilled and experienced pilots fly PJS flights. Our pilots’ flight hours far exceed the FAA requirements of 1,500 hours.
PJS maintains the advantage of acting independently. Instead of being beholden to a closed fleet of aircraft, we can select only the airlines, aircraft and pilots that meet our stringent qualifications and retention criteria for safety and service. Our fleet network design allows us to mandate far higher quality standards for crew experience, aircraft age, and operator performance, as well as leveraging bulk purchasing advantages across a wide inventory of aircraft.
Only a select group of airlines meet PJS’ strict standards that include data-driven, non-negotiable markers for clean operating history, aircraft age, liability insurance levels and reliability. Supplier eligibility to fly for PJS is determined by our dedicated safety team through a comprehensive, step-by-step qualification process, field inspections, interviews, references, and FOIA background checks that include both operating and maintenance records.
All aircraft and pilots are pre-vetted using PJS’ rigorous requirements with real-time data backed by third party reporting. Relentless analysis and tracking allows PJS to anticipate and avoid potential risks. PJS-approved vendors and their senior management team are required to maintain positive compliance and business positions, free from criminal or civil legal actions and IRS violations.
Eligibility is then independently re-confirmed prior to every flight to ensure previously approved vendors and crew have maintained a clean operating history. PJS’ perpetual vetting system ensures that approved vendors constantly meet our standards of exceptional service performance .

Worldwide air passenger travel is growing faster than innovations in fuel efficiency, with a forecast of 4.6 billion passengers in the year 2020. The industry is making progress with technologies such as fuel additives, cleaner engines, and lighter airframes, but these advancements cannot mitigate the growing carbon emissions produced by aviation. That is why PJS is committed to a reforestation program that will offset 100% of the carbon emissions generated by our flights.
In partnership with American Forests, PJS is planting enough trees to sequester all of the carbon emissions released by our clients’ flights, making PJS America’s First Carbon Neutral Private Aviation Company. Many PJS clients share our concern for the impact flying has on the environment. Now flyers can travel with greater peace of mind knowing that every PJS flight is carbon neutral.
By planting 79,200 trees to sequester 100% of the carbon emissions resulting from PJS flights, PJS initiates the PJS Carbon Neutrality Pledge. The reforestation program will be reconciled annually to compensate for increased flight activity and ensure that the pledge is honored in perpetuity. Imagine the environmental impact if all airlines and private charter firms were to adopt the PJS Carbon Neutrality Pledge.
A majority of the trees will be planted in the Northern Rockies and Cascades, which have suffered heavy losses of whitebark pine and other five-needle pines from pest infestation, fatal diseases, and intense wildfires. We will also plant trees in the Lake Champlain Basin of Vermont to protect and restore surface waters in the basin and help curb the water pollution from farms that have degraded the lake with algal blooms and high levels of pathogens.
